From Darkness Into His Loving Light
A journey out of the new age and into the truth of God's Word
For years, I searched for something real. I always had experiences with the spirit world from a young age. I dove deep into the new age world — mediumship development, psychic readings, crystals, manifestation and tarot while teaching, and holding Classes — convinced I was on a spiritual path. I was seeking peace, healing, and connection. However one day the Holy Spirit spoke to me directly, audibly with a simple command "READ THE BIBLE"
Lost in the New Age
I was fully immersed. I gave psychic and mediumship readings, worked with crystals, practised manifestation and spell rituals, and pulled tarot cards daily. On the outside, it looked like spiritual growth. On the inside, without realising it I was more lost than ever. The practices that promised peace left were not in alignment with GOD. The community that promised belonging was diverting my path away from Jesus. I kept searching, kept going deeper — but that's when the Holy Spirit stepped in.
The Moment Everything Changed
Jesus found me in the middle of my searching. It wasn't dramatic — it was quiet, personal, and undeniable. I encountered the living God, and nothing has been the same since. The peace and curiosity I had been chasing for years arrived the moment I stopped running from the One who had been pursuing me all along. His love was unlike anything the new age had ever offered me — it was real, it was free, and it was for me.
Walking Out of the New Age
Leaving wasn't easy. I had to unlearn years of spiritual deception, renounce practices I had built my identity around, and trust a God I was only really beginning to know. But He was faithful every step of the way. Through His Word, through prayer, through community, He rebuilt what the enemy had stolen. I found freedom I never knew was possible.
Why I Created This Community
I created Simple Living With Lianne because I know there are women just like me — women who are waking up, sensing something is wrong, and desperately searching for truth. I want to be the voice I needed when I was coming out. A voice that says: you are not alone, Jesus is real, and there is a way out. This community exists to walk alongside women leaving the new age and into the freedom of a life rooted in God's Word.
